Nowadays, the strong investment in tile production technology has helped Vietnam manufacturer improve the productivity, quality and diversity. According to Ministry of Construction, the average production output reach about 800 million m2 in 2023, ranking first in Southeast Asia and fourth in the world. In addition to serving domestic market demand, Vietnam-made construction ceramic products have been exported to many regions and countries around the world, such as ASEAN, Northeast Asia, America, and Europe and West Asia. To create the the favorable condition and opportunity for Vietnam tile manufacturer to access the Philippine and ASEAN market, Vietnam Certification Center (QUACERT) has established the registration procedures to the Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) on recognition for testing laboratory for testing the technical specifications of ceramic tile products in conformity to PNS ISO 13006:2019 standard. On January 19, 2022, QUACERT's testing laboratory was officially recognized by the BPS for providing testing sevices for ceramic tile products in Vietnam. The tile products that have been tested by QUACERT will be accepted for import into the Philippines without having to be tested again, this helps reduce testing costs and shortens import procedure time.
